Philosophy

Our work is guided by restraint, longevity, and the quiet luxury of good materials honestly finished.

Crafting permanence for contemporary life

Officine Minerva was born from the naval workshops of Livorno, where timber hulls and brass hardware had to endure salt, wind, and decades of service. That culture of discipline travels with us today: every cabinet run begins with proportion studies, engineered joinery, and finishes tested against the rituals of a family kitchen.

Three Tuscan ateliers share drawings, material libraries, and artisans who have worked together for years. Digital models guide tolerances to the millimetre; hand finishing restores warmth so oak, marble, and metal invite touch. We build kitchens that belong to their architecture and to the people who live within it.

A Tuscan Manifesto

Each commission follows a disciplined path that balances engineering and hand-finished craft.

01

Scope & Site Review

Measure architecture, utilities, and appliance selections to define clear tolerances.

02

Material & Proportion Study

Establish layout, material compositions, and daily rituals with scaled mock-ups and samples.

03

Engineering & Shop Drawings

3D coordination, hardware selection, and service integration resolved to the millimetre.

04

Fabrication & Finishing

Joinery, metalwork, and stone finishing executed across our Tuscan ateliers.

05

Pre-assembly & Quality Proofing

Dry fitting, surface sealing, and mechanical calibration before crating.

06

Delivery & Installation Stewardship

Crated logistics, on-site set-out, and aftercare guidance for the long term.

Representative steps; tailored per project and region.

Material Vocabulary

Proportion precedes ornament. Touch matters as much as sight; our material library is built to age with grace.

Stone

Tuscan stone library

Carrara, Calacatta, and Pietra Serena slabs graded for tone, veining, and durability.

Timber

Select European timbers

Quartered oak, walnut, and ash matched for grain continuity and colour harmony.

Metal

Brass & bronze patination

Hand-brushed, patinated, or burnished finishes sealed for daily handling.

Hardware

Precision mechanisms

Custom pulls, concealed hinges, and soft-close systems calibrated to weight.

Material studies evolve per commission; these boards illustrate a typical palette.
